MEET THE WESTERN TREE SERVICE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Alden Pedersen, President: Growing up in his family-owned sawmill in Big Bear Lake, Alden was instilled with a love and respect for trees. Following his University of California education, he began working in the care of trees in 1974. One of the first Certified Arborists in San Diego County, Alden was instrumental in creating the Professional Tree Care Association of San Diego (PTCA) in 1985 and is a past president. He remains active in the Association, working on educational programs and the annual PTCA Seminar. Alden is a highly respected arborist in the region and is frequently called upon for his expert opinion and evaluations. He was recently honored by his peers with the PTCA Bob Bichowsky Memorial Service Award for “Outstanding knowledge of arboriculture, unflagging perseverance, and selfless dedication to our industry."

Nik Sieben, Operations Manager: Nik has been with Western Tree Service for more than twenty years and is both a Certified Arborist and Certified Tree Worker. Starting as a ground worker, he has progressed through diligent practice and education to become a highly respected arborist and representative. Nik continues to stay on top of the latest research and is often called upon for his deep knowledge of tree pruning techniques as well as evaluating current challenges to tree health in our changing environment. He manages several Master Homeowner Associations and is responsible for major construction contracts. Nik is TRAQ qualified.

Jesus Prudencio, Safety Manager: Jesus has been with Western Tree Service for over twenty years and is both a Certified Tree Worker and and Certified Arborist.  Jesus continues to be a great asset in maintaining our health and hazard programs. He is one of two TCSP qualified safety professionals at Western Tree Service and conducts weekly safety sessions as part of our crew training.  He is OSHA-10 certified and stays on top of the latest industry standards and requirements necessary for assuring safe operations. In addition, Jesus creates site and inventory maps for clients' use and is qualified to provide valuable assessment of tree maintenance priorities for a number of the  commercial projects he manages.

Ricki Pedersen, Office/Customer Service Manager: Ricki holds a Business degree from SDSU and has been with Western Tree Service since its founding. She handles all customer contacts and is happy to schedule estimates, meetings, and work schedules.
